Frog Pond Owner Arrested In Disturbing Child Pornography Investigation In St. Pete Beach

Frog Pond Owner Arrest Sends Shockwaves Through St. Pete Beach

A name that has been tied to breakfast crowds, beach tourists, and longtime St. Pete Beach routines is now at the center of one of the most disturbing arrests locals have seen in recent memory.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, 65 year old Raymond Bourque was arrested following an investigation connected to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program. Detectives say the arrest came after receiving a tip tied to illegal pornographic videos.

Police say Bourque is facing:
10 counts of possession of child pornography
10 counts of possession of sexual activities involving animals

The case is tied to Police Report 2026 005814, released publicly by the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Fallout Is Already Spreading Across St. Pete Beach

The arrest immediately triggered confusion and backlash online because of Bourque’s reported connection to Frog Pond locations in the area. Social media posts and community discussions quickly spread throughout local Facebook groups and Reddit threads as residents tried to figure out which restaurants were connected to him and which were not.

Separate statements were reportedly issued by other Frog Pond restaurant locations clarifying they are independently operated and not affiliated with the St. Pete Beach ownership involved in the arrest. Nearby businesses also began publicly distancing themselves from the situation as conversation intensified across the beach community.

For many locals this story hit differently because Frog Pond has long been one of those recognizable beach staples people associate with weekend breakfasts, tourists visiting town, and everyday life on Gulf Boulevard. That familiarity is part of why the reaction online became so immediate and emotional.

A Story Bigger Than One Arrest

Cases involving crimes against children already carry enormous public outrage. But when accusations become tied to a recognizable local business owner, the conversation spreads fast and emotions escalate even faster.

At the same time many residents online have also emphasized the importance of separating employees and unrelated business partners from the allegations. Some community members pointed out that innocent workers, servers, cooks, and independently owned locations could end up dealing with the fallout of actions they had no involvement in.

Police have not publicly released additional details about the investigation beyond the charges already announced. No trial outcome or conviction has occurred, and the case remains active.

St. Pete Beach Reacts In Real Time

Over the last 24 hours, the story has spread rapidly across St. Pete Beach and greater Tampa Bay social media pages, with many residents expressing shock that someone tied to such a visible local business would face allegations of this magnitude. Others questioned how long the investigation had been underway and whether additional information could still emerge as detectives continue reviewing evidence connected to the case.

Another part of the conversation now gaining momentum online is the noticeable lack of widespread media coverage surrounding the arrest. Across local Facebook groups and comment sections, some residents have questioned why a case involving charges this serious and a highly recognizable local business owner has not received more attention from larger Tampa Bay news outlets.

At this point, there is no public evidence suggesting anything improper regarding media coverage. However, the limited reporting itself has become part of the conversation, with many locals saying they learned about the arrest almost entirely through community pages and word of mouth rather than traditional news coverage.

For now, one thing is clear. A story that started as a police press release has quickly become one of the most talked about local conversations across St. Pete Beach this week.

It’s important to make clear that this is the Frog Pond in St Pete Beach. Not the one in North Redington Beach. This are two totally separate businesses with different owners
