Three New Holiday Events Are Bringing a Full Season of Local Fun to Downtown St. Pete

Downtown St. Pete is heading into its busiest season with three brand new annual events built around local businesses, original finds, good food, live music, and the community that keeps this city interesting. LocalPalooza kicks things off on a Sunday at USF St. Petersburg before Shopmas returns to the campus for a Saturday filled with holiday shopping. Just three days later, St. Pete Gift Grab takes the celebration into the night at Ferg’s Sports Bar.

Each event brings a completely different reason to get out of the house. LocalPalooza celebrates everything being created within the local community. Shopmas St. Pete gives families a fresh way to begin their holiday shopping. St. Pete Gift Grab turns a regular Tuesday night into one final festive push through the gift list. Together, these three events are ready to become new Downtown St. Pete traditions.

 

LocalPalooza - November 1st

Sunday November 1st · 10AM to 2PM · USF St. Petersburg

November is not easing into the season quietly. LocalPalooza is kicking it off with a great day for all things local at USF St. Petersburg. This brand new annual event will bring St. Pete businesses, artists, makers, food, drinks, and live music together for four hours dedicated to the people who give this community its personality. It is a full Sunday built around discovering who is creating, building, cooking, and making something worth knowing about across St. Pete.

Come without a strict plan and see where the afternoon takes you. Browse local businesses you may not have discovered yet, meet the people behind the products, grab something delicious, and settle in for live music near the waterfront side of Downtown St. Pete. Bring your friends, the family, and the pups for a relaxed afternoon that puts the local community at the center of everything.

Shopmas St. Pete - December 5th

Shopmas St. Pete is taking over USF St. Petersburg with local businesses, artists, makers, food, and the kind of holiday finds that will have people asking, “Where did you get that?”

Shopmas is for anyone who wants their gifts to feel more personal than something grabbed from a crowded shelf. Browse original artwork, handmade goods, accessories, treats, and unexpected finds while meeting the local people who created them. This is for anyone who left Black Friday empty handed, got distracted during Shopmas, or just remembered there are still people missing from the gift list. Stop by after work, grab dinner or a drink, and browse local businesses while Ferg’s keeps the night moving. You can make serious progress without giving up another weekend or ordering something forgettable just to get it done.
