Plant City Drivers Thought This Truck Was Hauling Missiles near Tampa

The Most Florida Traffic Stop You Will Hear About Today

People driving through Plant City on I-4 started noticing something in the back of a pickup that didn’t look right. It looked like missiles, and enough drivers felt uneasy about it that they started calling it in.

FHP pulled the truck over to check it out, and for a moment it felt like this could turn into something serious. Turns out, the “missiles” were plastic props the driver uses for shows and events. They just happened to look a little too convincing rolling down the interstate.

Troopers even nicknamed him “Rocket Man” and let him head out after talking it through, with a suggestion to think twice about how something like that looks in traffic.

In the end, it was just one of those moments where everyone on the road thought they were seeing something wild and it turned into a story people are probably still laughing about after the fact. The troopers couldn't help but snap a selfie!
