St. Pete is ready to paint the town blue and yellow! The Tampa Bay Rays are taking on the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 World Series, and the city is turning the historic championship run into a celebration for the entire community. From watch parties inside Tropicana Field to free block parties along Central Avenue, fans have plenty of ways to experience the excitement without leaving St. Petersburg.
The Rays are making their third World Series appearance in franchise history, and both teams are chasing their first championship title. Game 1 begins Friday October 23rd at 8pm, with Game 2 following Saturday October 24th.
Tropicana Field Opens Its Doors for World Series Watch Parties

Even with the Rays starting the series in Milwaukee, Tropicana Field will welcome fans for official watch parties on October 23rd and 24th. Supporters can watch the action on the stadium's massive video board from the field or seating areas while enjoying photo opportunities, entertainment, raffles, merchandise, and concessions.
General admission tickets start at $10, with upgraded buffet packages available for $35 and all-inclusive packages for $60. Parking costs $5 and must be purchased in advance. Gates open at 7pm, with first pitch scheduled for 8pm. Additional watch parties are planned for Games 6 and 7 on October 30th and 31st, if necessary.
Central Avenue Turns Into a World Series Celebration
The excitement extends beyond the stadium as downtown St. Pete joins the festivities with free World Series block parties on Friday October 23rd and Saturday October 24th from 4pm to 8pm. Central Avenue in the EDGE District will close to vehicle traffic for the celebrations, giving fans room to gather, visit neighborhood restaurants and bars, and show their Rays pride. The city will also distribute limited-edition commemorative World Series posters while supplies last.
The celebration continues across St. Pete, with the St. Pete Pier illuminated in Rays colors and local businesses encouraged to join in with blue-and-yellow displays. The Rays return home to Tropicana Field for Game 3 on Monday October 26th and Game 4 on Tuesday October 27th, with Game 5 scheduled for Wednesday October 28th if needed. For a city that has stood behind its hometown team through every high and low, this World Series run is another reason for St. Pete to come together!
