Savannah Bananas Are Finally Coming to St. Pete for Two Games at Tropicana Field!
Baseball's wildest entertainment phenomenon is bringing its dancing players, outrageous tricks, and sold-out excitement to Downtown St. Petersburg in 2027. The world-famous Savannah Bananas are officially heading to Tropicana Field for two nights of baseball unlike anything you've seen before. Mark your calendars for Friday, May 7th and Saturday, May 8th 2027, when the Savannah Bananas take on the Loco Beach Coconuts right here in Downtown St. Petersburg. The games are part of the team's newly announced 2027 Banana Ball tour and fans hoping to score tickets will need to act quickly!
What Exactly Is Banana Ball?
Forget everything you know about traditional baseball. The Savannah Bananas have transformed America's pastime into a wildly entertaining spectacle combining competitive baseball, choreographed dancing, ridiculous stunts, and nonstop crowd interaction.
Players perform backflips, pitchers take the mound on stilts, and entire teams break into coordinated dance routines between plays. Fans aren't just watching the action either. Under Banana Ball rules, spectators can actually record an out by catching a foul ball! The games also feature a two-hour time limit, unusual rules, and plenty of surprises designed to keep the entertainment moving from the first pitch to the final out.
This highly anticipated appearance has been a long time coming. The Savannah Bananas were originally scheduled to play in St. Petersburg in 2025, but extensive hurricane damage to Tropicana Field forced the event to relocate to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Now, the Bananas are getting another shot at bringing their show to the Sunshine City, with two games scheduled at The Trop in May 2027.
How to Get Savannah Bananas Tickets in St. Pete
Here's where things get competitive, and we're not talking about what happens on the field. Tickets for the Savannah Bananas at Tropicana Field are being offered through an official lottery system, meaning fans must register for a chance to purchase them.
Registration is open through October 31st, 2026, at 11:59pm ET. Entering the lottery does not guarantee tickets, but it gives fans an opportunity to be randomly selected for access to available seats. When registering, select Tampa Bay as your preferred location, even though the games are happening right here in St. Pete. Fans can register through the official Savannah Bananas website at BananaBall.com.
