Downtown Third Sundays Are Back! St. Pete Sunday Market Continues March 15th!

Downtown Third Sundays Find Their Rhythm Again

Downtown St. Petersburg has a lot of traditions. Saturday mornings belong to the farmers market while Friday nights lean into live music, crowded bars, cold drinks, and that unmistakable downtown energy that rolls through Central Avenue. And over the past few years, Third Sundays have slowly carved out their own identity thanks to the St. Pete Sunday Market. Now that rhythm continues again!

On Sunday March 15th, the St. Pete Sunday Market continues its Third Sunday series at the USF St. Petersburg campus. Bringing another open air afternoon built around local artists, small businesses, food trucks, and live music. The market continues every Third Sunday from 11am to 4pm, creating a rhythm locals can count on throughout the year.

For anyone who has spent time wandering through vendor tents, discovering handmade goods, or grabbing a bite while music plays somewhere nearby, the feeling is familiar. It is the kind of Sunday that feels easy to spend with your community!

March 15th Keeps the Momentum Going

March 15th continues the St. Pete Sunday Market’s Third Sunday run at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus. The campus sits right in the middle of downtown surrounded by parks, walkable streets, and plenty to discover just steps away. With more open space and a relaxed layout, the market creates room for dozens of local vendors to showcase everything from art and handmade goods to plants, jewelry, specialty foods, and creative projects that often start right here in the Tampa Bay area.

Markets like this have become an important launchpad for small businesses that do not yet have storefronts but still need a place to connect with customers face to face. That connection is what keeps people coming back. It is where new brands get their start and where locals discover something they cannot find anywhere else.

A Place Built for Local Businesses to Be Seen

The St. Pete Sunday Market has always centered around local creators. Local artists and makers selling products they built from scratch. Food trucks bringing something different than what you find in restaurants. Musicians performing in a setting that feels more like community than a stage.

These kinds of markets are often where small brands begin to build recognition. Many vendors start with a folding table and a few products before eventually growing into full businesses.

For visitors, the experience is just as important. It is the chance to discover something original rather than something mass produced. The kind of place where you buy a piece of art and can actually meet the person who made it.

Sundays That Feel Like St. Pete

If there is one thing St. Petersburg understands, it is how to enjoy a Sunday. The pace is slower. People walk instead of rush. Conversations happen between vendor tents. Music drifts through the air while someone decides whether they need another iced drink or just one more lap around the booths.

The St. Pete Sunday Market fits naturally into that energy. Families bring their little ones, dog owners wander through with their wagging pets, visitors stumble into the event while exploring downtown and suddenly realize they have found a full afternoon of things to do. It is not a festival that happens once a year. It is a recurring part of the city’s culture!

The Third Sunday Tradition

The plan is simple! Every Third Sunday from 11am to 4pm, the St. Pete Sunday Market takes place at the USF St. Petersburg campus. Local vendors. Open air shopping. Food trucks and live music woven into the afternoon.

Free entry. Family friendly. Pet friendly. And close enough to the downtown waterfront that the day can easily turn into dinner, sunset views, or a walk through the surrounding parks. For locals who like to plan their weekends ahead of time, the calendar is easy to remember. Just circle the Third Sunday!
