Get ready to watch St. Pete’s local artists battle for a year worth of bragging rights! September 24th will be the first of many St. Pete Art Battles, a new annual art brawl that will showcase the crazy talent our city has to offer. Watch great minds like Derek Donnelly, Zulu Painter, Hinson the Healer, Evolve, Oz, Unknown Know it All, Artist Esh, Warartifex, and the couple behind Kind Minds Art! Come out and support your local artists Saturday September 24th and cheer them on in The Battle of the Spray Cans!
The St. Pete Art Battle will be from 12 - 6 pm and will consist of five teams of artists, but also a variety of local vendors selling their creations, and local food trucks keeping everyone full. Artists will have three hours to paint 8x8 walls and the winner will be decided by vote of the community. Our vendors which range from yummy drinks to some of the coolest goods will be vending all day in the shade. Located under the overpass on 18th St, you can stay cool in the Florida heat while you support local. This location is the perfect spot to spend the day with family or that cutie from class!
Ten artists are brave enough to put their creative minds to the test and battle each other out! We are so excited to have these guys be apart of our first event and we can’t wait to see what they will come up with. Artists have free creative ability and with talent like Kind Minds Art and muralists Derek Donnelly, Zulu Painter, Artist Esh, and Warartifex we know something amazing is bound to happen. Hinson and his teammate Evolve we really feel are going to bring some show stopping art that will really shake up the competition. Rounding out our teams is Unknown Know it All and Oz, two guys who just love to paint and are both very talented! We know each team is going to show out for the city they all love so much.
