Pirates Have Made it to St. Pete

The pirates have entered St. Pete! Ferg’s Sports Bar has recently purchased the retired Gasparilla Parade pirate ship. At the moment management doesn’t know where they will put the ship and we can’t wait to see what its final home will be. With the old Worlds Liquor sign also on their lot, we love that they keep buyingFerg's Pirate Ship and finding fun ways to keep old Tampa Bay icons alive. Ferg’s plan for the ship is to possibly host parties, use it as a stage, and just add to the unique atmosphere that is Ferg’s Sports Bar.

This 20 year old ship called Vanity was the old ship of the Bonney- Read Krewe during the Gasparilla Parade and according to the Tampa Bay Times was purchased for $33,000. This new addition is going to be a great eye catcher to their lot and is going to be super cool feature for the sports lovers that frequent Ferg’s to watch the games, especially when it’s ready to have guest onboard for parties. We wonder if the owner will keep the ship’s namesake or change it to something different when she is ready to start her new life, partying it up with the patrons of Ferg’s Sports Bar.

The owner had to battle eight offers to bring this ship home to St. Pete and we are so glad he did! With a new ship being prepared for the Bonney- Read Krewe we hope to see them chilling at Ferg’s with their old pal Vanity. Make sure to stop by Ferg’s Sports Bar and say hi to the newest addition in the family. We are so excited to see what becomes of it. Ferg's Pirate Ship
