Meet Maggie

Maggie wasn’t always on the move serving up fresh food in her vibrant red truck. At one point she was a vendor at our local markets. In 2010 Maggie on the Move was born after driving around town spotting what would be her first food truck. If it wasn’t for Maggie and all the hard work she did to give food trucks a spot downtown then we wouldn’t have the amazing and vibrant food truck culture we have in downtown St. Pete.

Food trucks weren't always welcome in St. Pete when Maggie first opened her truck. It took a lot of teamwork for her to gain a space downtown and it was the city attorney who found the loophole that allowed her to park her truck in St. Pete. I love the dynamic of having brick and mortar businesses as well as the food trucks parked along the street.

Food has always been a part of Maggie's life and she loves playing with her favorites. Her friend growing up was Greek and she grew up surrounded by great greek food. Which inspires her food that she serves on her food truck today. From vegan food to regular gyro sandwiches Maggie can and will feed everyone.

We are in the midst of a great food truck revolution. Everywhere you turn in downtown St. Pete you can see amazing food trucks serving up delicious food. Maggie continues to be a great source of support for many of the trucks in the area, showing that when it comes to business teamwork really is everything.
